SYMUN SYSTEMS: Timber Tech engineering and Symun Systems have teamed up to provide you with engineer certified plans. Using Construction Maestro created by Symun Systems you can get an excel file for your post frame building. If you need engineer certified plans to go along with your excel file, you can send that file to Timber Tech engineering. Once we receive your file, we will assist you promptly in helping you reach your final building design.
PERMACOLUMN: Perma-Columns are an alternative foundation method for post-frame construction. Pre-cast concrete columns are placed in the ground instead of the typical pressure-treated wood columns. With the innovation of this new product by Perma-Column Inc. and the engineering support by Timber Tech Engineering Inc. you can now have the durability of a concrete foundation while still keeping the economy of post-frame construction.
STURDIWALL PLUS: Sturdi-Wall Plus+ column anchors are a strong, economical, and durable alternative solution to custom post-base brackets when bending moment strength between the wood post and concrete foundation is required. They enable the use of post-frame construction with a poured concrete foundation wall or concrete pier foundation system.
STURDIWALL: Sturdi-Wall column anchors are a flexible, economical, and durable alternative solution to custom post-base brackets when using post-frame construction with a poured concrete foundation wall.
THE NATIONAL FRAME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION (NFBA) represents post-frame construction, manufacturing, and marketing companies. They also are code and design professionals and are the only trade association representing the interests of the post-frame construction industry throughout the United States.
THE AEC INFO CENTER is the one-stop internet resource for the architecture/engineering/construction industry. Whether you're searching for help with a project, trying to find a certain product, interested in industry news, or just browsing, this is a creditable site. You can even create your own website there if you haven't even created one yet!
THE TIMBER FRAMERS GUILD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the benefits, beauty, and practicality of a timber frame structure. Since Timber Tech has membership in the guild and works with timber frame structures, we thought this would be a good site for anyone interested in our services.
AUTODESK: The Autodesk website is a great resource for Autodesk and Soft desk software users, and people looking for information on technology in architecture, engineering, and construction. Here at Timber Tech, we are always using the latest AutoCAD to give you the best possible CAD experience.
THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF AGRICULTURAL & BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERS (ASABE) is a non-profit professional and technical organization of members worldwide interested in engineering knowledge and technology for food and agriculture, associated industries, and other related resources.
DIGITAL CANAL is structural design software used here at Timber Tech as a design tool for foundation design and frame analysis.
WOODWORKS provides education, resources and technical support related to the design of the non-residential and multi-family wood buildings. Take a look at their site for some great wood design possibilities.
IES: Timber Tech uses IES for a lot of their designs. IES, Inc. creates high quality structural design software for engineering and related professionals. Providing solutions for general analysis, frames, trusses, shear wall systems, foundations, retaining walls, floor systems and more in steel, wood, concrete, aluminum, cold-formed, and masonry.
APA: Working with timber frame structures and post-frame construction as we do, it's only natural that we are associated to the APA (it stands for American Plywood Association, but they do more than just plywood now). the APA web site has lots of information about the organization itself, news related to engineered wood, and even case studies of how this technology is in use today.
THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF TIMBER CONSTRUCTION (AITC), is the national technical trade association of the structural glued laminated also known as glulam, timber industry. AITC represents a majority of the glued laminated timber manufacturers in the U.S. in addition to a number of installers, suppliers, sales representatives, engineers, architects, designers, and researchers.
THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS (NSPE) site provides online information for professional engineers and those interested in the profession.
THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS FOUNDATION assists ASCE with resource development and the enhancement of its programs through the philanthropy of its membership and the wider public. This site provides information about the various fund-raising programs conducted by the ASCE foundation to fulfill its mission to generate resources for the civil engineering profession.
EAGLE POINT SOFTWARE makes a great setup of engineering construction and design applications. We currently use eagle point structural design software as part of our technology-based engineering services.
THE INSTITUTION OF STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS: Named the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1922 to cover all kinds structures. This organization of men and women are the ones that keep our buildings safe.
AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS: Although we are not members of the American Institute of Architects and do not provide architectural design services, we do work with many architects on building projects. if you're an architect, you probably already know about this web site, but if you're looking for architectural news, information, or services, the AIA online site is the place to begin.
